Mellissa Hayon, LICSW
Mellissa Hayon is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She has been employed as the Senior Clinical Social Worker and Operations Supervisor at Sokolove Law, LLC since June 2007.
Before joining Sokolove Law, LLC, Mellissa has been working in the social work field since 1994 and at a Master’s Level since 1999. She has been a member of the National Association of Social Workers since 1999. Over the last fifteen years, Mellissa has worked with diverse populations including the chronically mentally ill, homeless, substance users, families, those afflicted with dementia, HIV/AIDS, caretakers, veterans, and multiple medical diagnoses. She has worked in multiple clinical settings in both California and Massachusetts. Her focus has been on education, support and coordination of care. She has helped many victims and their loved ones find their way to social services and community support.
Here at Sokolove Law, she oversees MesoRC and interacts directly with victims and loved ones through e-mail, the discussion board, and the blog. She’s at the heart of our client services team and will ensure that Sokolove offers you all the knowledge and sensitivity you need and deserve.

Suzanne Dixon, MPH, MS, RD
Suzanne Dixon, an epidemiologist and registered dietitian, is an author, speaker, and internationally recognized expert in nutrition, chronic disease prevention, and health and wellness. Suzanne is best known as the creator of the award-winning website CancerNutritionInfo.com (sold in 2005), which was acclaimed by the New York Times and named one of Time magazine’s 50 Coolest Websites of 2005. She has numerous scholarly and popular literature publications and has received awards from the American Dietetic Association for Innovative Nutrition Education Programs for the Public and Distinguished Practice in Oncology Nutrition.
While managing the Outpatient Oncology Nutrition Program at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center, Suzanne counseled thousands of cancer patients on diet and nutrition to promote healing.Through her writing, lecturing, and teaching, Suzanne is devoted to helping others learn about and use food and nutrients for optimal health and wellness. She has a passion for translating complex nutrition and science concepts into useful, everyday advice.
